Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationViṣṇubuddhi (विष्णुबुद्धि) refers to the “idea of Viṣṇu”, as defined in the Śivapurāṇa 1.15. Accordingly, “[...] those who seek sons and other ends must make gifts to young men considering them on a par with Viṣṇu (viṣṇubuddhi)”.
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences.
