viṣamālaṅkāra (विषमालंकार).—m S A figure of rhetoric,--oppositeness or contrariety of end (to the end proposed). The usual definition is iṣṭānavāptipūrvaka aniṣṭapratilambha, and the exemplification is that of a rat seeking to get something in a hole gets into the mouth of a snake.
