Source: OpenEdition books: Vividhatīrthakalpaḥ (Kāvya)Viṇhukumāra (विण्हुकुमार) in Prakrit (or Viṣṇukumāra in Sanskrit) is the name of an ascetic, as mentioned in the Vividhatīrthakalpa by Jinaprabhasūri (13th century A.D.): an ancient text devoted to various Jaina holy places (tīrthas).—Accordingly, “In this city (i.e., Hatthiṇāura ?), the great ascetic Viṇhukumāra, thanks to the power of his asceticism, shaped a body the size of a lakh yojanas; able (thus) to cross in three steps the three worlds, he gave a lesson (sāsitthā) to Namui”.
