vindāṇa (विंदाण) [or न, na].—n vindāṇī f (Esp. in poetry. vindhaṇēṃ To pierce or strike through.) Craftiness, wiliness, subtlety, strategy, guile: also a device or deep scheme; a machination, fabrication, plot. 2 Cleverness (of making, acting, ordering, effecting). Applied to the Deity, destiny, a statesman &c. Ex. prāktanācēṃ vicitra vindāna || dēvāvari kāya bōla ṭhēvūna ||; also thōra karmācēṃ vindāna || vanīṃ rudana karīta rājanandana ||; also aisēṃ vindāna karūni dēva || parīṃ hēṃ kōṇhāsīṃ na kaḷē lāghava ||.
