This is the exacter sense, but the force or bearing of the word in its numerous occurrences is To attach one's self to devotedly or fondly. Ex. phāvalēṃ pāvalēṃ ātāṃ || santāmpāyīṃ vinaṭalōṃ ||; also sādhu īśvaracaraṇīṃ vinaṭalē || pralhāda narasiṃhapadīṃ vinaṭalā ||.
