Vimarśāṅga (विमर्शाङ्ग, “elements of pause”) is a synonym for Vimarśasandhi, which refers to the “segments (sandhi) of the pause part (vimarśa )” and represents one of the five segments of the plot (itivṛtta or vastu) of a dramatic play (nāṭaka), according to the Nāṭyaśāstra chapter 21.
