Source: academia.edu: Tessitori Collection IVīkānera (वीकानेर) refers to one of the various Tīrthas (sacred places), according to the Tīrthāvalī by Samayasundara (dealing with Sacred places in Jain literature), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—This garland of Jain sacred places praises [e.g., the eight temples of Vīkānera (Bikaner)], [...]. Hence beside pan-Indian Jain sacred places, sites located in Rajasthan have a good place here.
