1) A bird; विश्वासाय विहंगानाम् (viśvāsāya vihaṃgānām) R.1.51; (eṣa dharmo) विहंगमहिषीणां च विज्ञेयः प्रसवं प्रति (vihaṃgamahiṣīṇāṃ ca vijñeyaḥ prasavaṃ prati) Manusmṛti 9.55.
