Thus the verb well corresponds with the English Yawn and Gape. 2 fig. To tear open; to rip up (the secret faults or foibles of); to pull to pieces. 3 fig. To marr, smash, destroy, ruin (a counsel, plot, business). 4 unc To tear asunder or pull to pieces (literally, as flowers, books &c.) 5 with tōṇḍa To make mouths or faces; with dānta or battiśī, To grin or show the teeth; with kēśa, To dishevel the hair. tyācēṃ &c. vicakalēṃ He &c. is ruined.
