1) To say, speak.

2) To speak of or about.

3) To speak falsely or wrongly; अब्रुवन् विब्रुवन् वापि नरो भवति किल्बिषी (abruvan vibruvan vāpi naro bhavati kilbiṣī) Manusmṛti 8.13.

4) To explain, expound, interpret; न विब्रूयान्नृपो धर्मं चिकीर्षन् हितमात्मनः (na vibrūyānnṛpo dharmaṃ cikīrṣan hitamātmanaḥ) Ms. 8.39.

5) To quarrel, dispute, contend about.
