Source: Ancient Science of Life: Snake bite treatment in Prayoga samuccayamVegānusāra (वेगानुसार) or Vegānusāracikitsā refers to “stage wise treatment” and is employed in Maṇḍaliviṣa: “poisoning resulting from viperine (maṇḍali) snakes”, according to the 20th century Prayogasamuccaya (one of the most popular and widely practised book in toxicology in Malayalam).—Prayoga-samuccayam contains many simple and practically feasible formulations (viz., Vegānusāra) which can be easily prepared and used for managing poisoned conditions. It is a compiled work which contains the cream of many toxicology books and saṃhitās (compendiums) which can give confidence to young practitioners of Ayurvedic system in handling emergencies with simple combinations.
Āyurveda (आयुर्वेद, ayurveda) is a branch of Indian science dealing with medicine, herbalism, taxology, anatomy, surgery, alchemy and related topics.
