vāvīra (वावीर).—n C A poor kind of rice-land, an inferior kind of māṇḍīva. It is cultivated like varakasa-land. The rice is sown without cikhala having been made, and it is not transplanted. 2 Sprouted rice (i. e. rice soaked and made to germinate) for sowing. 3 Any little plant growing wild, a weed.
