Vaṭukeśvara (वटुकेश्वर) is the name of a Śiva temple established by Vaṭukavarman, according to the historical poem Mūṣikavaṃśa by Atula dealing with the royal lineage of North Kerala in roughly 1000 verses.—Many places of North Kerala can be identified from the descriptions of Atula. [...] Another Śiva temple called Vaṭukeśvara temple was established by Vaṭukavarman and at present it is known as Vaṭeśavara, located on the east of Valarpaṭṭanam.
