1. Vatthu Sutta. The Buddha declares, in answer to a devas question, that children are a mans support, wife his supreme comrade, and the spirits of the rain sustain all earthbound creatures. S.i.37.

2. Vatthu Sutta. Two suttas, one of the ten causes of malice (aghata), and the other on the ten remedies for the same. A.v.150f.
