Vasiṣṭhamantra (वसिष्ठमन्त्र) refers to “mantras performed by Vasiṣṭha”, according to Kālidāsa’s Raghuvaṃśa verse 5.27.—Accordingly: “Due to the power arisen from the sprinkling performed with mantras by Vasiṣṭha (vasiṣṭhamantra-ukṣaṇa) the course of his chariot was not blocked on the ocean, in the sky and in the mountains, like that of a cloud helped by the wind”.
