vasalāta (वसलात) [or द, da].—f ( A) An hereditary disposition or quality; a characteristic mark or trait running through a tribe or race.

vāsalāta (वासलात) [or द, da].—f ( A) Revenues, receipts, monies received: also the account of them or of disbursements. 2 The name of the line having part of the letter at the head, which is drawn across the paper containing a revenue-account, as the designation or mark of papers on that subject. Thus ēkōṇāta, dakārī, bīta &c. are names for other lines. See rēgha. 3 The story, case, or affair of. 4 Issue, result, determination (of an affair). 5 Issue or upshot, or the detailed story of (as of monies laid out, of materials consumed, of a fortune dissipated).
