Varṣagiri (वर्षगिरि).—'a Varṣa mountain', i. e. one of the mountain-ranges supposed to separate the different divisions of the world from one another; (they are seven:-himavān hemakūṭaśca niṣadho merureva ca | caitraḥ karṇī ca śṛṅgī ca saptaite varṣaparvatāḥ).

Derivable forms: varṣagiriḥ (वर्षगिरिः).
