Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryvaḷīṃva (वळींव).—p of vaḷaṇēṃ Twisted, platted, matted, in- terwoven. 2 Strongly or tightly twisted. 3 Thick-set, well-knit, compact, firmly made. 4 m f or vaḷīṃva pāūsa (Turned back or aside.) The rain which falls towards the close of the monsoon, coming from the east. Applied sometimes to the heavy showers which fall occasionally in November or December.
