Source: archive.org: Ceylon Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society 1963Valapu-bim is the name of a locality that existed in the ancient kingdom of Anurādhapura, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).—The sub-division Valapu-bim in Pālapāsa is mentioned in an inscription of Kassapa IV (898-913) near Mallimaḍu (erroneously called Kukurumahandamana by Bell) in the Vilpattu National Park± the village Kerelāgama or Veṇulāgama was assigned to a Hospitalat Anurādhapura.
