Vajradrāvanīmūṣā (वज्रद्रावनीमूषा) or simply Vajradrāvanī refers to an “diamond-melting crucible” and is a type of mūṣā (crucible) used for smelting metals.—Vajradrāvanī-mūṣā was made of very fine earth obtained from lakes, earthworm or cochineal essence, burnt chaff moistened in buffalo-milk. This could stand high temperatures and it is said that even diamonds could be melted in such a crucible. Also see the Rasaratnasamuccaya 10.12.
