Source: archive.org: Ceylon Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society 1963Vahalkaḍa is the name of a tank that existed near the ancient kingdom of Anurādhapura, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).—Gāliṅduru Gomanḍla (present Rambāva) is mentioned in an inscription of Udaya I (797-801) at Rambāva, near the north-west corner of the large, breached Vahalkaḍa tank.
