For example, at Vaḍamadurai there is a Tamil inscription on a slab built into the ceiling of the central shrine at the Agastīśvara temple. It registers the gift of two lamps and land, made free from levies including water-cess (nīr-vilai) by the sabhā, by Paḍaivalavan Tāman Chandraśekharan, one of the Manukulakesarit-terinda-valaṅgai Velaikkārar.
