Vāstupūjana (वास्तुपूजन) refers to the “worship of vāstupuruṣa” which should be recited at the end of a Drama, according to the Viṣṇudharmottarapurāṇa, an ancient Sanskrit text which (being encyclopedic in nature) deals with a variety of cultural topics such as arts, architecture, music, grammar and astronomy.—In the beginning of the Drama the devatāpūjana should be done. A nāndīśloka i.e., a benedictory verse must be recited at the very beginning of a Drama for a successful ending. [...] The Viṣṇudharmottarapurāṇa says that at the end of the Drama, vāstupūjana i.e., the worship of vāstupuruṣa should be made by offering flowers.
