Ganitashastra (Mathematics and Algebra)
Uttaramiśradhana (उत्तरमिश्रधन) refers to a “mixed sum (obtained by adding together the common difference of a series in arithmetical progression and the sum thereof)”, as occurring in the Gaṇitasāra-saṅgraha—an ancient Sanskrit text dealing with ancient Indian algebra and mathematical problems written by Mahāvīra (Mahāvīrācārya) in the 9th century.—See note to II -80 to 82.
