uṭhāṭhava (उठाठव).—or -ṭhēva f (uṭhaviṇēṃ To raise or take up, ṭhēvaṇēṃ To place. Reiterated and fruitless taking up and setting down.) Close, curious, scrupulous examination or inquiry of things or on subjects with which we have no business; idle interference or meddling. Pr. bōḍakīlā kuṅkavācī u0 kaśāsa pā- hijē? 2 Officious and malignant bearing to and fro of tales. 3 Bother and fuss; toil and trouble (as attendant upon business).
