Urjām is an archaeologically important site situated in Srikakulam District (Madras), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Urjām there is a Sanskrit inscription which registers the gift of Hoñjeri-grāma in Kroshṭukavartanī, by the king to Mātṛcandraśarman, a Chadogabrahmacārin of Vatsa-gotra, on the day of Mahākārttika-Paurṇamāsī.

This inscription belongs to king Indravarman of the Eastern Gaṅga dynasty.
