Upavīṇaya (उपवीणय).—a denom. derived from upa-vīṇā, [Parasmaipada.] To entertain somebody (acc.) by playing on the vīṇā or Indian lyre, [Raghuvaṃśa, (ed. Stenzler.)] 8, 33.
