Upapādana (उपपादन).—

1) Effecting, accomplishing, doing. सामान्यतः किं विषयोपपादनैः (sāmānyataḥ kiṃ viṣayopapādanaiḥ).

2) Giving, delivering, presenting.

3) Proving, demonstration, establishing by arguments; अपि त्वां न लभेत् कर्ण राज्यलम्भोपपादनम् (api tvāṃ na labhet karṇa rājyalambhopapādanam) Mahābhārata (Bombay) 5. 142.2.

4) Examination, ascertainment, exposition (of a subject).
