Upadeśivadvacana (उपदेशिवद्वचन).—Statement to the effect that a word should be looked upon as occurring in the original instruction although it is not there. See उपदेश (upadeśa).cf. नुम्विधावुपदेशिवद्वचनं प्रत्ययविध्यर्थम् (numvidhāvupadeśivadvacanaṃ pratyayavidhyartham) P. VII.1.58. Vārt. 1.
