1) To be grieved or afflicted, be agitated; नोद्विजेत्प्राप्य चाप्रियम् (nodvijetprāpya cāpriyam) Bhagavadgītā (Bombay) 5.2; tremble, shake (lit. and fig.).
2) To fear, be afraid of, shrink from, abhor (with abl.); तीक्ष्णादुद्विजते (tīkṣṇādudvijate) Mu.3.5; Bhagavadgītā (Bombay) 12.15; लोकापवादान्नोद्विग्नम् (lokāpavādānnodvignam) K.197; नायमुद्विजितुं कालः स्वामि- कार्यात् (nāyamudvijituṃ kālaḥ svāmi- kāryāt) Bhaṭṭikāvya 7.92.
