Udas (उदस्).—4 P. [उद्-अस् (ud-as)]

1) To cast up, throw up; दयिताय सासवमुदस्तमपतदवसादिनः करात् (dayitāya sāsavamudastamapatadavasādinaḥ karāt) Śiśupālavadha 15.81; to raise, lift up, elevate, erect; स्वयमिति मुग्धवधूमुदास दोर्भ्याम् (svayamiti mugdhavadhūmudāsa dorbhyām) Śiśupālavadha 7.49; पुच्छमुदस्यति (pucchamudasyati) Sk.

2) To throw down; उदस्ताधोरणः (udastādhoraṇaḥ) Daśakumāracarita 35.

3) To throw out, expel, drive away, leave, quit; उदस्य धैर्यं दयितेन सादरम् (udasya dhairyaṃ dayitena sādaram) Kirātārjunīya 8.5.

4) To destroy, dispel; रिपुतिमिरमुदस्य (riputimiramudasya) Kirātārjunīya 1.46.

5) To drive, propel; इत्थं विहृत्य वनिताभिरुदस्यमानम् (itthaṃ vihṛtya vanitābhirudasyamānam) Kirātārjunīya 8.55.

6) To turn away.
