uḍapāla (उडपाल).—n (āḍa & pāla) A small pâl (Pâl is a cloth stretched over a ridge-pole, and fastened at both ends to the ground; forming a light traveling tent, with two sloping sides and two open ends) attached to the larger pâl (as a convenience for cooking or ablution). 2 A cloth thrown over the hood of a kāmbaḷā -cloak (as a farther preservative from the rain).
