Uccal (उच्चल्).—1 P.

1) To start, set out; स्थितः स्थितामुच्चलितः प्रयाताम् (sthitaḥ sthitāmuccalitaḥ prayātām) R.2.6; उच्चचाल बलभित्सखो वशी (uccacāla balabhitsakho vaśī) 11.51; sometimes with dat. of place; नगरायोदचलम् (nagarāyodacalam) Dk.

2) To go or remove away or fly away (from one's place), fly away from; स्थानादनुच्चलन्नपि (sthānādanuccalannapi) Ś.1.28; पुष्पोच्चलितषट्पदम् (puṣpoccalitaṣaṭpadam) R.12.27.

3) To free or extricate oneself from.
