ucala (उचल).—f (ucalaṇēṃ) An assault; a falling upon. v kara. 2 Reviving; regaining of vigor (of a repressed disorder, repelled enemy &c.) v khā. 3 Inciting, instigating, urging, encouraging, persuading. 4 Raising, restoring, reëstablishing (a bankrupt &c.) 5 unc Raising (in the literal sense) by a combined or vehement effort. 6 (In dividing an estate &c.) A portion of land given in exchange for some portion (or for a well, or for permission to use it) fallen to the lot of some other of the sharers. 7 Monies borrowed from various quarters, or at different periods, or taken up, from time to time, from one's own banker. v ucala, phēḍa: also so bor- rowing or so taking up of monies. v kara. 8 Seizing and dunning; catching up and harassing for payment. v kara, lāva g. of o.
