Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarytūṭamitī (तूटमिती).—f tūṭamuddata f (tūṭa Falling short of, mitī &c. Broken date or period.) A mode of settling the interest of a loan; viz. calculating the interest upon the principal as it is successively formed by the several deductions of the sums together with the accrued interest paid in from time to time; (loaning upon the rule of) broken periods. v kara, dē. Ex. tūṭamuddata mujarā dēūna vyāja ghēīna. The obl. cases, tuṭamuddatīcā, tuṭamuddatīnēṃ or tuṭamitīcā &c. are in the chief use.
