India history and geography
Source: academia.edu: The Chronology of Ancient Gandhara and BactriaIt appears that Tarkhsyas dominated the confederacy of 10 tribes. Thus, the area of the east of Caspian Sea came to be known as Turan. Turanian kings were ruling in Turan and Northern Iran before the invasion of Heracles. Most probably, Turanian kings and the confederacy of 10 tribes accepted the supremacy of Ionians. Probably, Turamaya, a contemporary of Ashoka, was a Turanian feudatory king of Indo-Greeks. During the period 1900-1700 BCE, Paradas or Parthians of Parthia and western Turkmenistan culturally mixed up with Ionians and became their loyalists. It appears that when Turanian Kings attempted to re-establish their independence, Parthians supported Ionians of Gandhara and successfully defeated Turanians.
The history of India traces the identification of countries, villages, towns and other regions of India, as well as mythology, zoology, royal dynasties, rulers, tribes, local festivities and traditions and regional languages. Ancient India enjoyed religious freedom and encourages the path of Dharma, a concept common to Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.
