脫闍 [tuo du]—Tuozhe — [Proper Noun] Dhvaja, translated as "banner" or "standard" (幢 [chuang]). Volume 7 of the Shurangama Sutra (楞嚴經 [leng yan jing]) states: "Write this divine mantra and place it at the four gates of the city, at all caityas, or on top of a dhvaja." Volume 7 of Changshui's Commentary (長水疏 [zhang shui shu]) states: "Tuozhe means 'banner' (幢 [chuang])."

脫闍—【物名】Dhvaja,譯曰幢。楞嚴經七曰:「寫此神咒,安城四門并諸支提或脫闍上。」長水疏七曰:「脫闍云幢。」
