tuḷava (तुळव).—m A common term for the three pieces which stand (as three radii, ) upon each extremity (buṭēṃ) of the axle (kaṇā) of a gāḍā or load-cart. Each outer tuḷava is named sāyatuḷava and the central tuḷava is bhāratuḷava. The three vāṅkī are inserted respectively into the three tuḷava. The whole are kept in position by the ropes (ḍhāsaṇyā) which are passed over the axle-beam. (ākharī).
