Tulasīmūlaka (तुलसीमूलक) refers to the “root of Tulasi plant”, according to Śivapurāṇa 1.15. Accordingly, regarding the benefit in the rites of Devayajña:—“the pure house (śuddhagṛha) accords normal benefit in the rites of Devayajña etc. The cowshed is of ten times more benefit than that. The bank of a tank is of ten times more benefit than that and the root of Tulasi plant (tulasīmūlaka) or of Bilva or Aśvattha trees is again of ten times more benefit than that”.
