Source: Google Books: ManthanabhairavatantramTiswadi (तिस्wअदि) is the name of an ancient region.—Tisra / Trisrota is said to be in the [Kumārikākhaṇḍa], like Trikūṭa, “in the middle of the three currents”, that is, three rivers. There is a region of modern Goa—the heart of the ancient kingdom of Koṅkaṇa—called Tiswadi. It is on the sea and bounded on three sides by rivers in such a way that it is, in a sense, an island—which fits with the inner characterization.
Shakta (शाक्त, śākta) or Shaktism (śāktism) represents a tradition of Hinduism where the Goddess (Devi) is revered and worshipped. Shakta literature includes a range of scriptures, including various Agamas and Tantras, although its roots may be traced back to the Vedas.
