Tīrthagāma (तीर्थगाम) is the name of an ancient Monastery (most probably identical with Totagamuva in South Ceylon).—Accordingly, The author of the Sūryaśatakāsannaya who introduces himself as the Mahāthera of the Vilgammula claims that he was the principal disciple of Galaturumula Mahāsvāmi who lived at the Tīrthagāma monastery.—(cf.
