timbaṇēṃ (तिंबणें).—v i To be thoroughly wetted; to be drenched or soaked. 2 To be well wetted and mixed by punching and kneading--wheaten dough. 3 To sour through wetting and exposure--rice &c. 4 (In the māvaḷa or munhēṃ) To emaciate or dry up-a beast or person from poor feeding.

timbaṇēṃ (तिंबणें).—v c To wet thoroughly; to steep, or soak, or wet to dripping (in any dye or in water); to drench (as in rain). 2 Hence, because wheaten flour demands much wetting and punching in making it into dough, To punch and knead and make soft (wheaten dough): also to punch and knead (clothes). 3 fig. To pommel and thump soundly. 4 To sour (sprinkled flour &c.) by exposure to the air. 5 To mix and prepare bōḍaṇa (curds, milk, vaḍē &c. mixed up together).
