體義 [ti yi]—Tǐ-Yì — [Terminology]
體 [ti] (Tǐ) refers to the principle of equality of all phenomena (諸法平等之理 [zhu fa ping deng zhi li]). 義 [yi] (Yì) refers to the characteristic of distinction of all phenomena (諸法差別之相 [zhu fa cha bie zhi xiang]). Furthermore, 義 [yi] (Yì) is like the 'meaning' in the Ultimate Truth (第一義諦 [di yi yi di]), which directly points to the noumenon (法體 [fa ti]) of equality. Therefore, 體 [ti] (Tǐ) is 義 [yi] (Yì).
