ṭhikarī (ठिकरी).—f ( H) A chip or fragment (of stone, a pitcher, a bottle); a shard &c. In use it particularly signifies a chip or a shard heated, buttered, and spiced, and when the smoke rises kaḍhī (a dish of flour and sour milk) is poured over it to receive a flavor. 2 The flavor so obtained. 3 A contemptuous term for a small leaf brought to make patrāvaḷa. ṭhi0 tāpaṇēṃ g. of s. To be very hungry. ṭhikaṛyā hōṇēṃ g. of s. To be smashed, shivered, shattered. 2 fig. To be cracked or chapped--lips, fingers &c. through cold.
