ṭhaṇaṭhaṇīta (ठणठणीत).—a (ṭhaṇa! ṭhaṇa!) Emitting a loud or shrill sound upon being struck, sonorous. 2 (From the conceit of the hollowness of the sound of the vessel.) Used enhancingly with any word signifying Dry or empty. Ex. hī vihīra kōraḍī ṭha0 jhālī.
