Source: What is India: Annual Report on Indian Epigraphy (1945-1952)Tenāli is an archaeologically important site situated in Ongole taluk (Guntur district, Madras), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Tenāli there is a damaged pillar in the maṇḍapa of the Rāmaliṅgasvāmin temple which records the gift of the pillar by a person whose name is not legible. The inscription is in characters of about the 13th century.
