Tatprakhyanyāya (तत्प्रख्यन्याय).—A मीमांसा (mīmāṃsā) rule of interpretaiton according to which an expression is to be considered as नामधेय (nāmadheya) (name of the yāga) if the गुण (guṇa) implied or stated by that expression is found to be stated by another statement. This rule is discussed by जैमिनि (jaimini) and शबर (śabara) at MS.I.4.4.
