Taravu.—(SITI), Tamil; ‘that which has been given’; collec- tion of debt or tax on pressure; also a dun; also used in the sense of ‘order or instruction’. Note: taravu is defined in the “Indian epigraphical glossary” as it can be found on ancient inscriptions commonly written in Sanskrit, Prakrit or Dravidian languages.
