The second variety (of Pyrite) is found on the banks of Tapti river and is known as Tāpya-mākṣika. It is associated with stony portion and looks pāṇḍura (whitish) in colour and associated with the shade of five colours of gold. It is comparatively inferior in properties and liberates less satva (metal content) on satvapātana.
