1) Ṭāṃga (टांग):—(nf) a leg; —[aḍānā] to butt in, to horn in, to intermeddle; —[khīṃcanā] to pull one’s leg; —[tale se nikalanā] to accept defeat, to yield, to concede supremacy; —[toḍanā] (ironical) to attain unprecedented excellence, to give/reduce to a bad shape/miserable plight (as [aṃgrejī kī ṭāṃga toḍanā]); —[pasāra kara sonā] to spend a carefree time, to sleep carefreely, to be at complete ease.

2) Taṃga (तंग) [Also spelled tang]:—(a) narrow; scarce; troubled; harassed; girth, belt of a horse; ~[dasta] short of money, scarcity-stricken; ~[dastī] state of penury, scarcity of money, poverty; ~[dila] hide-bound, small hearted; hence ~[dilī] (nf); ~[hāla] tight, distressed, in great straits; ~[hālī] narrow circumstances, straits, tightness; —[ānā] to be tired (of), to be fed up; to be browned off; —[karanā] to trouble, to harass, to victimize.
